Hilltop Hoods are giving back to the industry with the announcement of the 2011 Hilltop Hoods Initiative, a $10,000 grant open to emerging Hip-Hop artists in Australia.
To be eligible you must be an Australian artist or group who have not released an album commercially.
The grant is aimed at funding the manufacture and release of an album and includes legal advice from David Vodika and Media Arts Lawyers.
The judging panel is made up of:
Nau (artist Koolism and Triple J presenter)
Nish (Graffiti artist)
Ran-Dee (Booking agent and promoter)
Raph (author Behind The Beat)
Applications close on February 22, 2011. The winner will be announced on March 31, 2011.
