Beiber clarifies his recent comments that abortions following rape are still wrong – that “everything happens for a reason”.
The moppet was being interviewed by Rolling Stone about sex and love. He specified that he’s not pro-abstinence but people should wait until they’re in love.
When asked about whether he, as a pubescent pop-star, supports abortion, he said he doesn’t believe in it: “It's like killing a baby”.
Contributing editor Vanessa Grigoriadis then asked about whether he would support the decision in the case of rape.
He replied, “Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason.”
After a teacup-storm, Rolling Stone have averred that the quote was incomplete.
They amended their quote to add the following lines, “I don't know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that.”
Phew. Now we know how he really feels.
