Velvet Revolver axeman Slash auctions off stuff he doesn’t use… like a bitchin’ Stingray.
Reuters reports that the legendary guitarist is auctioning off some ostensibly priceless stuff for charity, saying “I have a bad habit of collecting stuff that I don't necessarily use.”
He’s offering up the acoustic guitar that was used to record the Gunners classic ballad ‘Patience’, as well as two of his many top hats, and a badass red and black 1966 Corvette Stingray, which is valued at almost $100,000.
He said of the classic car: “I know that somebody would love to have that car because muscle cars are very, very popular.”
He is selling 14 guitars, including custom Telecaster, Stratocaster, Sanchez, Epiphone and B.C Rich models, as well as jewellery, t-shirts and jackets and even model dinosaurs.
The auction is being run by Julien’s Auctions, which specialises in entertainment memorabilia.
The majority of earnings will go to charity.
