Melbourne singer Kate Alexa has made the UK club chart.
Kate is currently at no. 28 with a remix of her new single ‘Infatuation’.
Kate’s UK career is being driven by Chris Herbert from Safe Management. Chris was behind Spice Girls and 5ive. He heard Kate’s album when it was being mixed in the studio by producer Tom Nicols.
Chris was unaware of Kate’s heritage. She is the daughter of Mushroom found Michael Gudinski.
“I don’t tend to manage overseas artists as it’s a very risky venture. But Kate is an exception,” Chris said. “I am very impressed with her song writing; her new album is fantastic.”
“Kate has a great attitude, she is naturally very excited about her new album and where we can take it together in the near future. I am really looking forward to working with Kate and I feel confident that both the “Infatuation” single and the album will do very well in the UK/European market. I believe that she has a very strong career ahead of her in the UK and Europe and know that this new album will certainly re-establish her and put her back on the pop charts in her home territory of Australia.”
‘Infatuation’ will be released on Australia in February 5.
