Soul legend Ruth Brown will have a memorial service in New York City on January 22.
The service will be held at the Abbysinian Baptist Church at 132 Odell Clark Place, New York.Tributes will be paid from Brown's peers including Little Jimmy Scott, Chuck Jackson and Mabel John and stars such as Little Richard will be in attendance.
Throughout the 50s she was Atlantic Records' highest selling performer, which earned the label the nickname "The house that Ruth built."
Brown died from complications following a heart attack and stroke on November 17 last year.
