Kasey Chambers postpones her forthcoming shows in flood-stricken Queensland.
Chambers had a series of dates throughout Queensland in early-March but has chosen to postpone them due to the tragic floods that have ravaged the state.
She said in a press release:
“My heart goes out to you all. I can’t imagine what you guys are going through and I was very happy to be a part of the telethon on Sunday night. I can assure you that is just the start of our industry contributing to your recovery. All you guys in Queensland have supported us for a long, long time, so now its time for us to support you. We have all been closely watching the TV and seeing the devastation. We are all feeling for you.”
Her tour will continue through New South Wales in February, but five shows in Queensland have been cancelled.
All tickets will be valid for the rescheduled shows. Those who wish to get refunds can do so at the original point of purchase.
The affected dates are as follows:
Wednesday 2 March – Gladstone Entertainment Centre
Thursday 3 March – Pilbeam Theatre, Rockhampton
Friday 4 March – Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre
Sunday 6 March – Cairns Civic Centre
Tuesday 8 March – Townsville Civic Theatre
