Wynter Gordon chats to Undercover about her salacious, chart-topping single ‘Dirty Talk’.
This week Wynter Gordon has topped the ARIA Dance charts and come in at number five on the singles chart with her saucy new track ‘Dirty Talk’.
Gordon hit the Undercover studios to chat about her surging career and get into the nitty-gritty of her new single.
She told us about the first time her mother heard the suggestive single.
“My mum’s, like, ‘I heard your song’,” Gordon chuckles, “And then she didn’t say anything after that.”
“My brothers like it,” she said of her 16- and 18-year-old siblings, “It gets them girls. They say, ‘This is my sister and now I get girls’,” she laughs.
She says that she’s never felt uncomfortable performing the song, which references S&M among other sexy subjects.
“When I perform it, it’s really for adults. I don’t go to any elementary or junior high schools and say ‘Get up there, kids! Take it off!’ It’s for the right audience. It’s fun. I don’t think anything of it.”
Wynter Gordon also chats about her time at the ‘Fame’ school, her early jobs, her Mary J Blige breakthrough, stylists, her debut album, working with David Guetta and Nick Littlemore, and more.
