Jimmy Barnes’ brother John Swan (Swanee) and his son-in-law Ben Rodgers will also contribute to the family album project to help raise money for the Queensland flood victims.
Swanee will contribute ‘Have A Little Faith’ while Ben has offered ‘Remedy’ from this project The Middle Class.
Jimmy and Jane Barnes were immediate in wanting to help the flood victims the best way they knew how, with music. “Anybody who has watched the news or listened to the radio knows that there are a lot of people flooded out and suffering,” Jimmy tells undercover.fm. “This is about community and our family would like to do something to help and we can best do that with music.
This is about families, it's about Australian families and if we all give a little bit it will go a long way”.
The album will feature songs from Jimmy, his brother-in-law Diesel, son David Campbell and daughters Mahalia and EJ. Jimmy’s son Jackie also features as the drummer in his band.
Liberation is rushing the release of the album through iTunes and expects to retail the album for under $4. All monies raised will go to the flood victim’s appeal.
