Spanish technicolour disco-lounge act The Pinker Tones announce their Australian Tour.
Helmed by funky boys Professor Manso (on keyboards, samples, drums, vocals and theremin) and Mr. Furia (on keyboards, guitar, flute and vocals), The Pinker Tones released their debut album 'The BCN Connection' in 2004 (originally called 'Pink Connection' in their home country) and have endeared themselves to critics and crowds with their kitschy and fun electro-disco bump.In 2005 they released their follow-up, 'The Million Colour Revolution', another album of simple, joyous lounge dance floor-fillers with an indie feel and a pastiche aesthetic. The Barcelona boys have gained global respect, NME dubbing them "Ace", The Washington Post pondering "Who can resist such a life affirming rainbow of songs?" and Rolling Stone Spain dubbing their sound "Music for the dance floor that lifts the soul".
The Pinker Tones will appear in Australia for the first time, playing at the Beck's Festival Bar as part of the Sydney Festival on January 25, at Melbourne's Ding Dong on January 26 and Brisbane's HM Basement on January 27. Be prepared for a smile on your face and a swing in your hips.
