Tunes from Madlib and DOOM's second Madvillain album pop up in a podcast.
The two master producer MCs teamed up for the 2004 avant garde hip-hop classic Madvilliany and have been promising a follow-up for years.
The second album has been in the works for a year and finally some new music has emerged.
Pitchfork reports that two tracks have appeared on a podcast from Stones Throw Records.
The podcast, mixed by label chief Peanut Butter Wolf mixes up almost an hour’s worth of cuts from the new and forthcoming releases from the label, including two Madvillain tracks: ‘Avalanche’ and ‘Victory Lap’.
Snippets of Madvillain’s contribution can be heard here and whole Stones Throw podcast can be downloaded for free on iTunes.
