Canadian superstar Nelly Furtado has been accused of murder ... in CSI: NY.
Furtado will star as Ava Grant, a shoplifter accused of murder on the February 7 show.CSI: NY is just one of her upcoming acting roles. Furtado will also be seen soon on the daytime soapie 'One Day To Live'.
She has also signed on as host of the 2007 Juno Awards, Canada's most prestigious music awards. Since the Juno's first aired in 2002, hosts have included Alanis Morissette, Shania Twain and Pamela Anderson.
"The Juno Awards are part of the Canadian fabric and to be asked to host is a privilege I'm charmed to accept," said Furtado. "Hosting The Juno Awards is a dream come true and I look forward to carrying on this rich Canadian tradition. See you in Saskatoon!"
Furtado has had 13 Juno nominations and won 5.
Nominees for this year's awards will be announced in Toronto on February 6th.
