UK singer songwriter will perform the John Lennon classic ‘Imagine’ at the New Year’s Countdown in Times Square this year.
As soon as the song is performed, it will then be available for download for one month from iTunes with all proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters, a non-profit organisation that creates relationships for children to reach their potential through mentoring.
"I'm thrilled for this special performance in Times Square, the epicenter of New Year's Eve celebrations around the world," said Cruz in a statement, "I was deeply touched by their desire to give back to Big Brothers Big Sisters through my music and felt there was no better way to kick off 2011 than with those celebrating the New Year's Eve festivities in Times Square."
Taio Cruz released his debut album ‘Rokstarr’ this year. It reached number 1 in the UK. The first single ‘Break Your Heart’ was one of the fastest moving debuts on the Billboard chart.
His current single is ‘Higher’ wit Travie McCoy.
