The Living End’s Chris Cheney, his wife Emma, The Living End manager Rae Harvey and partner Woody Annison have open a new studio in Melbourne.
Red Door Sounds is the studio formerly known as Studio One. Chris, Emma, Woody and Rae took it over in October and changed the name.
Red Door Sounds features a mix of vintage pre amps (Neve/Vintech); compressors (UA LA2A, Tubetech); mics (Neumann, AKG, Rode) and backline (Fender, Gretsch, Pearl) all through the superb routing and clarity of the SSL. 3 excellent yet completely different sounding recording rooms: The Live Room (like it sounds); The Dead Room (a great room for a 70's drum sound); The Natural Room (beautiful acoustics with adjustable baffling) and a large Control Room in a relaxed yet pro-environment.

Meanwhile, there is a new album from The Living End on the way but its still early days. 2011 will definitely see a follow-up to 2008’s ‘White Noise’.
