Altiyan Childs has remained in the number one spot on iTunes ever since the release of his debut single moments after he won X Factor on Monday night.
‘Somewhere In The World’ settled immediately into the number one position on Tuesday and has kept that spot all week.
The new X Factor winner has spent this week working on the video for the single and will release an album of the songs he performed on the show on December 10.
Sony CEO and Chairman Denis Handlin in announcing the album release said, “Congratulations to everyone at Channel 7, FremantleMedia Australia and all the contestants that have taken part in 2010’s The X Factor for all their great work in this new series. Altiyan has shown great determination and courage throughout the show and I am very pleased that we will be releasing an album of Altiyan’s incredible journey from the show for Christmas.”
