Relocated Australian “rock” band Snowman have released some details about their third album.
The initially Perth-based outfit released their majestic self-titled debut in 2006, a cinematic explosion of spaghetti western surf rock.
Then they moved in together in a house in Perth and released the equally majestic but terrifyingly raw follow-up in 2008 called The Horse, The Rat And The Swan.
No doubt there’s a bucket of talent between the four of them, so when they removed themselves from that dungeon and shifted to London, we’ve been bristling to hear what that environment has spawned.
They have now revealed that the album will be called ∆bsence, and be “creamier and dreamier than the last. Still rhythmically driven, but also awash in textural walls of sound.”
It was recorded over the last two years and across many countries with producer Aaron Cupples, but only has eight tracks, which are listed as their myspace status.
Other than that, we know very little. No release date. No tour dates. No music up anywhere that we can find.
Regardless, anything new from Snowman is sure to be an experience. We’ll keep you updated.
