Wollongong singer/songwriter Darren Coggan will this week put his own songs aside to perform the songs of Cat Stevens when he takes the stage at Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre.
33 year old Coggan has been a Stevens fan ever since he can remember. Stevens song 'Moonshadow' was one of the first things he learned to play on guitar as a child.The show 'Moonshadows: A Magical Tribute To Cat Stevens' will have an eight week run at the Athenaeum before heading around Australia.
The show is the story of Cat Stevens, as portrayed by Coggan, with songs dating back to Cat Stevens first hit in the 60's as an 18 year old 'I Love My Dog'.
Coggan also performs all of the Stevens classics like 'Peace Train', Father and Son' and, of course, 'Moonshadow'.
