Irish singer-songwriter Luka Bloom prepares a retrospective for his tenth Australian tour.
While he says he’s “allergic to nostalgia” in a press release, Bloom will play some of the reworked versions of his back-catalogue which were represented in most recent release Dreams In America.
While these songs reflected his breakthrough Stateside, he also mentioned in the release “…in truth, I spend two months out of 24 in Australia and the next 22 waiting to return…”
Fittingly, he kicks of the extensive tour with three big festivals – the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Womadelaide, and the Blue Mountains Music Festival.
Following that is a string of three shows in Canberra and a series of stops all along the East Coast before he caps it off with a show in Perth
Tickets to his non-festival shows go on sale November 29, except for the Melbourne show which goes on sale December 6.
