Even more sideshows trickle out, with electronoise duo Crystal Castles announcing two sideshows.
The Canadian two-piece were heaped with hipster praise for their 2008 self-titled debut, which even made it into NME’s Top 50 Greatest Albums Of The Decade.
This year Ethan Kath and Alice Glass released their second self-titled album (provisionally titled Crystal Castles II); another string of glitchy electronica and atmospheric soundscapes.
The band will release a new version of the album on January 21 next year with a reworked version of ‘I’m Not In Love’ featuring The Cure’s Robert Smith.
They’re booked for the Big Day Out shows next year, which will promise to be a confronting performance of squally noise, if previous reviews are anything to go by.
And you can hear their digital blasts during headliners in Melbourne and Sydney as well.
Tickets go on sale Monday November 25.
