Jason Collett of Broken Social Scene has announced a solo tour of Australia with fellow Canadian indie rockers Zeus throughout December and January.
Collett has been a staple of Canada’s indie scene for over a decade. He recently released his sixth solo album ‘Rat A Tat Tat’ AND his seventh album ‘Pony Tricks’, the latter of which is acoustic reworkings of tracks from his back catalogue, with two new tracks thrown in for good measure. A lesser musician might say that’s busy enough, but Collett has also managed to be a member of Broken Social Scene this whole time.
Joining him will be Zeus, who borrow their sound from the great songwriters of the 60s and 70s while not sounding retro or vintage. The Toronto-based band are going to be loved down under, I can feel it in my bones.
