Ex-P.O.D. guitarist Marcus Curiel has rejoined P.O.D.
Curiel left P.O.D. in 2003 citing "spiritual differences" as the reason. He was replaced by Jason Truby, of Christian Metal band Living Sacrifice. In a move that mirrors the John Frusciante departure and return in Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marcus has replaced Truby, the person who replaced him. Frusciante had a similar experience, leaving the Chili Peppers only to take back his old job some years later.
Truby announced he was no longer in the band on New Year's Eve. "My decision to depart as a member is personal and came before Marcos was considered" he said. "I believe in P.O.D. and will be apart of P.O.D forever. They are life long friends".
Truby is already working on his own projects. "I've been working on a project with my good friend Phil Keaggy who is helping me with a vocal album, and also linking-up with Lance Garvin on some tunes as well" he announced.
P.O.D. has signed a new record deal and is now working on their next album with Marcus.
