Partners Jenny Lewis and Jonathon Rice team up for two sideshows next year.
Jenny Lewis is best known for her work in Rilo Kiley, as part of Ben Gibbard’s The Postal Service and her solo efforts (as well as appearing on Brandon Flowers solo album).
Jonathon Rice broke through as a singer-songwriter through TV show placements and collaborations with other artists, including Elvis Costello.
Although he produced her Acid Tongue album and toured with her, and she sang on his recordings, the first proper collaboration for the couple was this year’s peppy, harmonic I’m Having Fun Now album under the moniker of Jenny And Johnny.
I’m Having Fun Now is an apt title and critics have cheered the chipper new direction.
Now Jenny And Johnny have booked two shows in Australia, at Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory and Melbourne’s East Brunswick Club in February next year, alongside their Laneway appearances.
Tickets go on sale for Frontier members at midday this Thursday 11 November, and for the general public from 9am on Monday 15 November.
