Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo is planning a collaboration with Bethany Cosentino from Best Coast.
“I definitely really enjoyed working with other musicians, other artists, so I continued that process on Hurley,” he told Australian radio station Triple J. “I'm still doing it actually, tomorrow I'm getting together with the girl [Bethany Cosentino] from Best Coast and we're going to write a song. You never know where these songs are going to end up but it could be on the next Weezer record.”
On the band’s latest album ‘Hurley’, the band recorded with rapper Lil Wayne, Ryan Adams, actor Michael Cera and more.
Weezer have long been rumoured to be heading to Australia, but so far the rumours have been unfounded. They were last here in 1996 when they played at Brisbane’s Livid festival.
