Kanye West will screen his new Runaway film tonight during a surprise visit to Sydney.
West showed the film in Paris last week, meeting up with Bono and the Edge from U2 and Lenny Kravitz (retweeting a group photo that Kravitz posted), and in London as well.
He was in Japan on Friday and arrived in Sydney this morning, tweeting: “Just got to Australia...staring at the Sydney Opera house from my hotel window... Life is awesome!”
His most recent tweet noted that he’ll be screening Runaway tonight in Sydney, reports say that only a select group of media and industry identities will get to see it.
It’s been claimed that Runaway is an attempt to trump Michael Jackson’s Ghosts as the longest music video ever.
The 40-minute short film, scripted by Hype Williams, is a whole 29 seconds longer than Ghosts.
West also claimed that he has two days to turn in his fifth album, which he confirmed will be called My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and will features some of the tracks from his weekly G.O.O.D. Fridays giveaway.
