R&B singer Bruno Mars has been charged with felony drug possession after being arrested in Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel in September.
The charge of possession of a controlled substance is likely to carry a sentence of probation, but could carry up to four years in prison. The “controlled substance” that he was possessing was allegedly 2.6 grams of cocaine.
The 25 year old singer, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, was arrested at 2:40am on September 19 after he was approached by hotel security in a bathroom.
Hernandez has had a number of hits on his own, including the very smooth ‘Just The Way You Are’, as well as co-writing ‘Nothin On You’ by B.o.B. and ‘Billionaire’ by Travie McCoy amongst others.
