Country megastar Shania Twain has announced that she’ll release an autobiography.
The as-yet-untitled autobiography will be out in the first half of next year and will explore her “painful” upbringing in Ontario, her rise to fame, and her marriage to and separation from producer Mutt Lange.
It will be accompanied by a documentary series on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN channel.
The decision to write an autobiography now was spurred by an anxious moment that lead to a lot of reflection.
She said in a statement, “There have been moments in my life I was concerned by the reality that tomorrow would never come. Recently I experienced one of those moments to an intensity that brought on a sudden urgency to document my life before I ran out of time, before I had the opportunity to share an honest and complete account of my life, in my own words.”
