Bassists Peter Hook (New Order), Mani (Stone Roses/Primal Scream) and Andy Rourke (The Smiths) are teaming up for a project called Freebase.
Hook has been talking about the group saying it's a cross between northern soul, reggae, New Order, Stone Roses and The Smiths.The band is still searching for a singer, but they have 17 songs ready to go.
Don't hold your breath for the reality-TV hunt for a singer either. If you want to join, get off the couch and get into the clubs.
