According to UK music rag Gigwise, Fatboy Slim was repeatedly shocked at a new years eve gig in his hometown of Brighton, U.K.
The DJ, together with 20,000 fans, was caught in torrential rain as they danced on the pebble beach for the last time in 2006. Unfortunately for him, water and electricity don't mix and he was shocked when he touched his equipment.He did however praise the crowd for sticking it out and putting up with the elements when talking to the BBC after the show.
There were 130 police on hand who made five arrests.
The last time Fatboy Slim played on the beach in Brighton, it was free, summertime and on a Saturday night when 250,000 people turned up in 2002. The entire city had to be closed down and there was one fatality. He also held a free concert in 2001, but it was not advertised and on a weeknight. Both concerts were released on CD and DVD.
