Australian promoter Paul Dainty has been named one of the 20 most influential promoters in the world.
The list from SportBusiness International names promoters from all sectors of the industry including entertainment and sports and recognises promoters who think globally, digitally and generate fans across TV, movie screens, laptops and phones.Dainty is in good company on the list that also includes Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone, WWE's Vince McMahon and Spice Girls creator Simon Fuller.
All know have expanded their empires to include sports.
Dainty, who has toured the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Prince, George Michael, Iron Maiden and Guns 'n' Roses is also involved in WWE and stage shows like Hairspray, Wicked and Rocky Horror. He is also the man behind the Abbaworld exhibition.
SportBusiness International gave credit to the promoters who "are masterful in their command of the corporate and spectator domain".
Paul Dainty's will tour Robin Williams, Pat Benatar and the Bangles, Robin Gibb and Katherine Jenkins in Australia later this year.
Hairspray will open at the Princess Theatre on October 2nd.
