Clare Bowditch has declared that she will move into the world of television after not making enough money from music.
Speaking over Twitter, she said: "Chaps, just so you know, making music is a fantastic way to do exactly what you love, and to help one make sense of the world."But unless you're a massively fortunate, successful, supported-by-commercial-radio-artist, it's not such a good place to make THE MONEY.
"Or, at the very least, you need a kind of a "trade" to get you through the lean times...
"So, because I'm not a particularly good mechanic, I'm going to begin doing a little bit of extra writing/TV stuff on the side..."
She didn't explicitly reveal what she would be writing for, but if you have any suggestions for her, you can send them over to her Twitter account. She invites you to!
"Actually yes, do tell me, what do you want to read me writing about?" she said. "What would you like to know that you think I know? Send 'em over please."
Bowditch recently released her third solo album 'Modern Day Addiction' and will kick off her Australian tour in Tasmania on Friday, October 1st. The tour takes up the whole month of October, so don't expect to see her name in the credits of any Neighbours episodes anytime soon.
