Boxing day, traditionally a day for, well, boxing stuff actually means putting stuff in boxes, not boxing people, as former Busta Rhymes driver Eddie Hatchett claims Rhymes did... to him.
The 39 year old driver filed an official complaint on December 27, the day after Rhymes (born Trevor Smith) and his bodyguards allegedly hit him, causing cuts to his face.Hatchett claims he went to Rhymes' office on December 26 with 19 days of unpaid invoices for work.
Hatchett told the New York Post "I don't know what set him off, I told him, 'I ain't scared of you.' That's when his bodyguards grabbed me, and he punched and kicked me."
He claims he could not afford a Christmas gift for his daughter, saying "I didn't speak to my daughter for Christmas. I was embarrassed."
"For me to come out of my community like that and work for him days in a row, nights, not seeing my family, and not getting paid, and for him to act like that - I'll never put myself in that position again."
He says he has heard of other employees of Rhymes also not getting paid.
Rhymes was out of the country at the time, but is believed to have returned now.
