Breakthrough artist Sia is auditioning musicians through twitter and YouTube.
The Australian songwriter and ingénue is in New York and is hunting for bandmates.She tweeted five hours ago: "If you are a good drummer/pianist in nyc, will you post a link to you playing on youtube? i'm holding virtual auditions for a US based band!"
It must've worked because she tweeted her thanks soon afterward.
Then she tweeted: "wow found one already. twitter is amazing! yep,trying to put together a last minute tour in the us, nov/dec, counting on feeling better!"
This was followed by: "ok so now how about pianists? classical,jazz/pop trained is best..."
Sia released her fourth album We Are Born in June, hitting number two on the Australian charts.
Since then she's toured the UK and the US, cancelled German dates (which have been rescheduled for October) and seems that she'll tour the US again in November and December.
She also tweeted that she's trying to return to Australia in January or February next year.
