iTunes has teamed with Live Nation and will soon start selling concert tickets.
Apple announced the new upgrade to iTunes today and prompted a comment from Live Nation chief Michael Rapino who said, "We are thrilled to power the concert listings feature on iTunes and deliver this new and simple way for millions of iTunes users to purchase concert tickets at Livenation.com and Ticketmaster.com. Our partnership with Apple is a key part of our strategy to empower fans with the greatest access to live entertainment."Live Nation will power the concert listings for iTunes.
Another upgrade for iTunes will be an application to start following your friends and watching their purchases.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the upgrades at a news conference in San Francisco today.
