Good Charlotte's Benji Madden is set to marry Australian general celebrity Sophie Monk after proposing on Christmas Eve.
The model-actress-singer-impersonator rose to prominence in Australia as a member of manufactured pop-act Bardot, following a stint as the resident Marilyn Monroe at the Movie World theme park on the Gold Coast. Since then, she has tried her hand at acting - landing a role as Marilyn Monroe in the telemovie 'The Mystery Of Natalie Wood'.Monk's publicist confirmed the engagement, telling 'People' magazine, "They are very excited and enjoying this time with family and friends."
Madden has previously described the relationship as, "the most rewarding thing in the world. It makes everything else in your life more rewarding. Your work, your family. Home, everything. It's great. It's a singer/songwriter thing - we're just hopeless romantics."
