Love your vinyl? Can’t stand the thought of leaving your record collection behind when you leave this world behind? Well, now there is a solution.
A British company called And Vinyly offer a rather unique service. They'll press your ashes into a record for your loved ones to "cherish for generations".Suggested recordings to be pressed onto are your own voice relaying a message to friends and family, your last will and testament or "simply press your ashes to hear your pops and crackles for the minimal approach."
The basic package includes an album cover with your name, date of birth and date of death, but you can upgrade to have your portrait painted by artist James Hague (National Portrait Gallery). He'll paint it on a canvas and the cover will be a "high quality limited edition print" of the original.
You can either have your portrait painted from photos, or you can have a one hour sitting with Hague, before you die of course.
You can have just a cremated body part, your whole body or even your pet pressed into wax and the add on options include worldwide distribution of the record or a "FUNeral" organised by And Vinyly which will involve a team of people cracking jokes at your funeral.
