Kinks legend Ray Davies has enlisted an esoteric group of collaborators for his new album.
Davies has been announcing the list gradually on his website, noting that he's reworked Kinks tracks with guests.Pitchfork collected the guests through a few sources, including Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Spoon, Frank Black, Billy Corgan, Lucinda Williams, Mumford & Sons, and the late Alex Chilton.
Rumours suggest he recorded Kinks tunes 'Better Things' with Springsteen, 'Celluloid Heroes' with Bon Jovi, and 'Destroyer' with Corgan.
There's no word on an exact release date, but the new album is mooted to come out before the end of the year.
