Bob Dylan will trial a box office only system for a forthcoming San Francisco show.
In an effort to ward off scalping and ticket processing fees, Dylan will go back to the tried and true method of only making tickets available at the door.It's for his show at The Warfield in San Francisco on Wednesday August 25.
Fans will only be able to buy tickets at the box office, in cash, with one ticket per person.
They're allowed to start queuing from midday, with doors opening at 5:30pm and the show starting at 8pm.
The efforts to prevent overcharging is sure to create ridiculously long waits at the 2,250 capacity venue.
If it sells out, there will also be $135,000 in cash at the venue, which is sure to be a security risk.
We can only wait and see if this might start a new trend of old-fashioned gig-going.
