While plugging her way through town, pop siren Katy Perry dropped in on a school formal at a hotel in Melbourne.
Perry was staying at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne and hobnobbing with our own Ruby Rose, when she asked to join the party at a school formal underway at the hotel.A member of her entourage asked the Melbourne High student council president if she could join the party at around 11pm on Saturday night.
According to The Age, once inside, Perry grabbed the microphone, announced "Well, this is boring" and began dancing to Beyonce's 'All The Single Ladies'.
The song was switched over to her chart-topper 'California Gurls' and she was soon enveloped by a rush of excited students.
It was a brief boogie, as she tweeted at 11:45pm 'I totes just crashed a prom', while Ruby Rose posted photos of the action on twitter the next morning.
