Tron:Legacy director Joseph Kosinski has cheered Daft Punk soundtrack efforts at Comic-Con.
Kosinski described their involvement as "integral" to the film during a panel discussion moderated by Patton Oswalt. He revealed, "It's a new direction for them, it's a combination of orchestral, electronic and granulate sound. It blurs the line between sound design and music."
Kosinski said because he worked with the French electronic duo for three years from the inception, "I was able to play tracks on set to get actors in the mood."
"I think that the picture and the music are so integral to each other it's really exciting to see."
More information has emerged about the duo's role in the film - they will play two mp3 programs (which obviously serve as DJs) in the End Of Line Club.
There was also a video screened during the Tron: Legacy panel which compiled all the times Tron has been mocked in popular culture, which was soundtracked by Daft Punk's 'Around The World'.
