Fans of Montreal art-rockers Arcade Fire were treated to an unplanned sneak preview of the band's new album after the wrong track was made available for download.
The band had intended to release 'Intervention' from the upcoming release 'Neon Bible', with proceeds going to the charity Partners In Health. But due to an errant mouse-click on the part of someone from their American label, the album's second track - 'Black Wave/Bad Vibrations' - was released instead. The band's vocalist Win Butler remained philosophical on the blunder, musing, "I guess it is sort of charming that we can send the wrong song to the whole world with the click of a mouse ...there will be a PayPal link up on arcadefire.com for those who have downloaded the songs without paying but still want to give money to PIH.org."
'Neon Bible', the follow-up to the band's critically acclaimed debut 'Funeral', is set for release in the northern spring.
