The Black Angels have been hard at work in the studio recording their third record, and now their fruits of their labour shall be revealed.
The record will be called 'Phosphene Dream' and will hit Australian stores on the 17th of September this year (international release date is September 14). It was recorded by Dave Sardy (Oasis, Wolfmother, LCD Soundsystem) and if the first track 'Bad Vibrations' is anything to go by, the band are at their twisted, dark, psychedelic best.Their live shows are legendary for their sheer volume and droney guitar sound. Anyone who has seen them will testify to their greatness.
The band will be released on Blue Horizon, which was re-launched this year by Richard Gottehrer and Seymour Stein who founded SIRE Records in the 60s and were responsible for signing artists such as Talking Heads, The Ramones and... um... The Veronicas.
