Troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse tells press that her new album is less than six months away.
Bailed up at the red carpet for new horror film Psychosis (which her new boyfriend Reg Traviss directed), Amy Winehouse told London's Metro, "The album will be six months at most."She continued, "It's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff... I just can't wait to have some new songs [to perform] on stage."
This might be news to her producer Mark Ronson, who told The Sun last week, "Amy hasn't been working on her next record" but added, "When she's got 10 songs then we'll go down to the studio together."
Winehouse also defended her muddled appearance with Ronson's band last week, where she forgot the lyrics to her song 'Valerie'.
She claimed that she has been doing a different version of the song with her band for so long that "When I got there I completely forgot it was his version we were singing so I was probably a bit out of sync."
That said, Ronson said he and Winehouse's cover of Lesley Gore's 'It's My Party' will be released soon.
