Duran Duran, Devendra Banhart, John Frusicante and more contribute to a David Bowie covers album.
The 34-track double album will be called We Were So Turned On.Among a litany of aspiring acts, a couple of well-established group contribute.
Duran Duran attempt 'Boys Keep Swinging', Devendra Banhart's new project Megapuss try 'Sound + Vision', Vivian Girls do 'John, I'm Only Dancing', A Place To Bury Strangers bang out 'Suffragette City', Carla Bruni contributes 'Absolute Beginners' and Swahili Blonde and John Frusciante opt for 'Red Money'.
MGMT and Soulwax were originally slated to join the fray but obligations prevented it.
We Were So Turned On will be released by Manimal Vinyl on October 11 with profits benefiting the War Child International charity.
