A film documenting Joaquin Phoenix’s retirement from acting and parlance into hip hop is set for a release date in September.
The film, called 'I'm Still Here' was directed by Phoenix's brother-in-law Casey Affleck (younger brother to Ben) and will be distributed worldwide by Magnolia Films. You can expect to see it in cinemas on September 10.It still remains to be seen whether the film is a large hilarious joke. In 2008, Phoenix said on Letterman that he is leaving the film business and plans to concentrate on his hip hop music.
Hopefully the film will shed some light on whether or not Joaquin is for real. Anybody who saw 'Walk The Line' knows the kid can sing, but something is fishy about this plan. We'll find out soon enough.
