New York indie rock poseurs Interpol quietly release single number two from album number four.
The second single is called 'Barricade' and is available now on iTunes. It's from their self-titled album, due for release on September 7 on Matador Records.Interpol will be the first album after charismatic bassist Carlos Dengler left the band in May to pursue his filmmaking dreams.
Carlos does appear on the album, but so does new bassist and indie identity Dave Pajo, who has previously played with Slint, Will Oldham and Zwan, and toured with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Interpol have also added keyboardist Brandon Curtis from Dallas space rockers The Secret Machines.
The band have a huge touring schedule on both sides of their album release date, touring through the US and Canada currently, supporting U2 in Europe in mid-September, then returning to the US, Mexico and going back to Europe until the first week of December.
