Son of the late John Bonham and temporary Led Zeppelin drummer has let it slip that Zeppelin “almost reformed” without enigmatic singer Robert Plant.
In an interview with musicradar.com, Bonham said "It got as close as you could get. It got real close. You know, we did a year of writing and putting stuff together. I loved working with Jimmy and John Paul. It was so much fun. That band…I think we felt more like a band than Black Country Communion.""I think basically [Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones] agreed to disagree. After a while, it was just time to move on."
He also denied that Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge was ever involved in the band, saying there was "somebody else involved, and that's all I'll say to that."
The rumour of Kennedy touring as part of Led Zeppelin came from Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider, who shares a manager with Robert Plant.
Bonham is also planning a tribute to his father [Led Zeppelin drummer] John, tentatively called 'Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience', which will be a live show, although there is no word on who is going to be in the band or what songs they're going to play.
Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience will be unveiled in October at the yet to be confirmed opening night.
