Former Warner Music managing director Robert Rigby has signed Nicholas Roy to his new Little Tribe label.
Roy, who was unearthed on Triple J's Unearthed, went on to receive airplay from the J's with his songs 'Walls', 'Dangerous Game', 'Taxi' and It's All My Fault'."We are over the moon to have signed such a fresh new talent like Nicholas Roy to our indie label Little Tribe," Rigby said in a statement. "The debut album '…in a shoebox under the bed' showcases his masterful ability to blend brooding semi-electro synth sounds with pop-rock vibes that resemble something of an unholy alliance between Radiohead, Ben Folds Five, David Gray and Peter Gabriel'.
The album will be released on August 6.
