`Hot In Cleveland` almost had a very funny line in this week`s episode, but the writers botched it.
"Halfway through the tour he left me stranded on a corner in Winslow, Arizona," says Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick), referring to a line in the Eagles classic 'Take It easy'."Isn't that an Eagles song,?" asks Melanie Moretti (Valerie Bertinelli).
"Never tell Don Henley anything in confidence," answers Victoria.
Oops, poor research writers! Don Henley did not write 'Take It Easy', the song referenced in those lyrics. Glenn Frey and Jackson Browne did.
Apart from that one little stuff-up, 'Hot In Cleveland' is a very funny show. If a band can be a supergroup, then 'Hot In Cleveland' is a supercast.
Bertinelli starred in 'Touched By An Angel' and is the former wife of Eddie Van Halen and mother of current VH bass player Wolfgang Van Halen.
Malick was Nina Van Horn in 'Just Shoot Me' and Ronee Lawrence in 'Frasier'.
Jane Leeves is best known as Daphne Moon on 'Frasier'. She was also Audrey in 'Murphy Brown'.
Betty White is a TV sitcom superstar having played Sue Ann Nivens on the Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls.
This week's 'Hot In Cleveland' episode also featured Huey Lewis playing the old rocker ex-boyfriend of Victoria Chase.
The show premiered in the USA on June 16, 2010.
