An order page on Amazon has let slip the release date for Daft Punk’s sounds track to the Tron remake.
The release date has now been removed from the Amazon pre-order page, but it reportedly had the album coming out on November 23, three weeks before the December 17 opening date of the film.Variety recently suggested that Disney will go all out for Tron: Legacy's third visit to San Diego's Comic-Con, which takes place in late July.
Among panel discussions and revealing more footage of the film and some merchandise, Variety suggested that Daft Punk may actually perform some of the soundtrack.
While this would be a massive coup for Comic-Con, live Daft Punk performances are terribly rare and even if the French androids appeared it would be impossible to tell if it was truly Guy-Manual and Thomas pressing the buttons.
That said, the duo will appear in the film as "disc jockey programs" at a nightclub in Tron's virtual world.
