Prince Declares The Internet “Completely Over”

Prince announces the death of the internet in a new interview.

The frighteningly funky 52-year-old conducted an interview with The Daily Mirror to accompany the newspaper-bound release of his new album 20Ten.

While explaining how excited he is to be finding new ways to distribute his music, he explained why there has been and will be no official downloads of his music – "The internet's completely over."

Prince has spent a considerable amount of energy keeping his music off iTunes and YouTube.

He told the paper, "I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it."

He continued, "The internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated."

He went on to proclaim that the very technology was destructive. "All these computers and digital gadgets are no good," he said, "They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."

Experts now suggest that the internet be shut down until someone explains to Prince how digitisation works.
