The Coaster Festival is back in Gosford for 2010 with a stellar lineup to treat music fans this year.
The first has something for everyone, with the kings of 90s bong-hop, Cypress Hill leading the charge.Birds of Tokyo have, in recent years, reached out to more and more people turning them into one of the most respected bands in Australian pop rock.
The lineup also features Australia's first folk supergroup, The Basement Birds, who are heading out on their first Australian tour in August. The band features Kevin Mitchell (Jebediah, Bob Evans), Steve Parkin (Autopilot), Josh Pyke and Kav Temperle (Eskimo Joe) and have drawn (admittedly lazy) comparisons with The Traveling Wilbury's.
Silversun Pickups make a welcome return to Australia, with their epic indie tunes always a pleasure to watch on stage.
The full lineup is:
Cypress Hill, Birds of Tokyo, Art vs. Science, Bluejuice, Basement Birds, Silversun Pickups, Cloud Control, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Boy and Bear, Illy, Spit Syndicate, The Asto Shuffle, The Holidays, Slow DOwn Honey, The Chemist and City Riots.
The festival will take place on the 25th of September at the Gosford Showground, Gosford, NSW. Tickets are available tomorrow (Wednesday, June 30th) at 9am through OzTix.
